Atlantic Blue Tang
Acanthurus coeruleus

Identification:  Juveniles are yellow overall with a blue ring around the eye and blue trim on the median fins.
                          Adults are blue overall. Some adults may have a yellow tail.

Maximum Length: 9.1"

Origin: Tropical Atlantic

Minimum tank size:  75 Gal.

Behavior:  Usually well behaved in larger aquariums but can be quite aggressive in smaller tanks.

Feeding and diet:  Varied Diet, Mostly vegetable matter.

Reef Compatibility:  Generally safe. Browses on filamentous micro algae and small fleshy macro algae.

Cautions:  If underfed, an occasional individual may nip at large-polyped stony corals
