Kent Lugol's Solution provides a strong source of free iodine and iodide to reef inhabitants and macroalgae.  Although it’s very effective when used with stony corals, systems containing xenia and soft corals are particularly benefited by the use of Lugol’s Solution.  Used as a dip for stony and soft or leather corals, Lugol’s will help rid the animals of unwanted parasites and harmful bacteria.  This product helps foster improved coloration and prevents bleaching of all corals due to changes in light intensity, and enhances coral polyp expansion.  Kent Lugol's Solution provides a key nutrient for marine invertebrates and fishes, and contains no phosphate, nitrate, gluconate, or other sugars.

Kent Phytoplex is a highly concentrated complex of aqua cultured, naturally occurring marine phytoplankton  •  It contains Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis and Isochrysis sp. Tahitian ranging in size from 2 to 15 microns  •  Phytoplex provides necessary proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids for live hard & soft corals, tube worms, clams and other invertebrates  •  It is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA and is useful in feeding rotifers and other plankton and in raising larval fish.  Phytoplex is grown in cold saltwater under laboratory conditions.  It contains over 3 billion cells per capful and is typically about 15 times as concentrated as competing live cultures, meaning that one 8 oz. bottle of Phytoplex has more phytoplankton cells than 1 gallon of the competition. B-Ionic Magnesium Through the chemical process known as "ion-pairing", magnesium ion concentration influences the saturation point for calcium carbonate in solution. In general, the further the magnesium concentration drops from natural seawater levels (1350 ppm), the more difficult it becomes to maintain adequate levels of both calcium and alkalinity. Magnesium also plays an important role in stabilizing pH by interacting with the buffer system of seawater.

Reef Advantage Magnesium™ contains no ammonia! This is a common contaminant in every liquid magnesium supplement on the market. Severely depleted levels of magnesium (below 800 mg/L) can cause depressed pH levels and an inability to maintain proper calcium levels.

A concentrated (10,000 mg/L) gluconate strontium supplement for the reef aquarium that will restore and maintain strontium to levels found in natural sea water. It is most useful in densely populated aquariums requiring a continuous supply of strontium. It has a pH of 8.2 and is neither acidic nor caustic. Gluconate complexation confers several benefits: it increases the bioavailability of the strontium, it provides a rich source of metabolic energy to help maintain peak coral growth, and it inhibits strontium precipitation/alkalinity depletion. Gluconate contains no nitrogen or phosphorous, thus it is biologically impossible for it to lead to algae growth in a properly maintained reef system.

An iodide supplement for those with dense populations of invertebrates or soft corals. It is also useful in tanks with aggressive skimmers. Reef Iodide™ is concentrated at 8,000 mg/L. As little as 1 mL in 160 Liters (40 gallons) will raise iodide to natural seawater concentration. It is formulated to provide a safe source of iodide that will not convert to toxic free iodine under storage or reef conditions. It is recommended that this product be used with the MultiTest: Iodide™ test kit to ensure proper maintenance of iodide levels.

Supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated to be necessary for proper reef health and growth. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation. The latter two processes occur more rapidly than with other micronutrients. This makes it important to restore trace elements on a regular basis.
