Identification:

Maximum Length: 6.7"

Origin: Indo-Pacific, Red Sea

Minimum tank size:  75 Gallon

Behavior: In the wild this species is found in very large schools, thus, it is able to be kept in groups in the aquarium environment as well. The juveniles of this species will actually act as cleaner fish to other larger species. This species tends to be peaceful with every other aquarium fish species, only rarely showing any type of aggression. 

Feeding and diet:  It will feed on a variety of prepared foods with specific success being achieved with bloodworms, brine shrimp and green algae formulas. 

Reef Compatibility: The Heniochus Butterflyfish is not a good marine reef aquarium species because it will eat coral polyps.
