Behavior: The Rhynchocinetes uritai is generally peaceful toward other tankmates. Many consider the Rhynchocinetes uritai a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous. Best to keep in community. Scavenger that likes to sift through sand. Requires iodine for proper molting. Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Feeding and diet: Carnivore
Reef Compatibility: Keep with caution in a reef aquarium; will nip at colonial anemones, disc anemones & soft leather corals.
Cautions: Be careful with copper-based medication and extreme nitrate levels.
