Domino Damsel
Dascyllus
trimaculatus
Identification: Black body with 2 or 3 white spots
Maximum Length: 5.5"
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Minimum tank size: 55 Gallon
Behavior: A popular fish for conditioning new
aquariums because it is able to tolerate water
conditions that would kill other fish.
Feeding and diet: Meaty foods, including Krill, Mysis Shrimp, and vitamin enriched brine.
Reef Compatibility: Ideal for the reef aquarium; will not harm any invertebrate tank mates and will eat some algae.
Cautions: Their presence can make life
difficult or impossible for mild-mannered community species. House
in a moderately aggressive community tank with fishes like larger angels,
puffers and dottybacks.
