Identification: The one sure distinguishing mark of D. zebra is the presence of two white spheres on it's caudal peduncle.

Origin: Indo-Indo-Pacific
Minimum tank size: 30 Gallon
Behavior: Somewhat secretive likes to have plenty of rock and tank decorations to hide in.
Feeding and diet: The Dendrochirus zebra is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of live foods (shrimp & fish). Sometimes will only accept live food to start but should be gradually switched over to taking frozen foods. Do not feed live goldfish as a steady diet.
Reef Compatibility: Keep with caution in a reef aquarium; may eat/nip at ornamental shrimps & smaller fish.
Cautions: Venomous spines, use caution when cleaning tank. If stung run under hot water and flush poison from wound.
