Identification: Pinkish, red fish with small black spots below the dorsal and anal fins.

Maximum Length: 4.1"

Origin: Tropical Eastern Atlantic

Minimum tank size: 20 Gallon

Behavior: Great fish for hobbyists at all levels. It will spend most of the time peering from holes and crevices, especially in well illuminated tanks. Will stake out a territory and chase out other cardinal fish that intrude.

Feeding and diet: Meaty foods, including marine fishes, crustacean flesh, mysis shrimp and frozen preparations.

Reef Compatibility:  May eat delicate ornamental shrimp or smaller fish.

Cautions: May eat small fish that would fit in its' mouth.
