Identification: This species is whitish-gray overall with streaks of black in the back part of the under belly, blue through the eyes and orangish yellow around the mouth and back towards the rear of the fish.

Maximum Length: Grows to a length of approximately 12-13 inches

Origin: Indo-Pacific

Minimum tank size: 55 Gallon

Behavior: Also known as the Huma-Huma Trigger, this fish makes an excellent and colorful aquarium inhabitant. The Picasso Triggerfish is a hardy marine aquarium fish. It is moderately aggressive, with the level of aggressiveness increasing as the fish increases in size. Juveniles will often do very well in a community tank setting, but as they grow problems may arise. This species readily adapts to the aquarium environment, accepting a variety of prepared foods.

Feeding and diet: Mixed diet of meaty foods including shrimp, krill, squid, clam, and fish.

Reef Compatibility: This species is not recommended for the marine reef aquarium environment because it will nip at corals and will dine on almost any ornamental crustaceans or invertebrates.

Cautions: Will become more belligerent with age. Keep only one per tank.
