Target (psychedelic) Mandarin Goby
Snychiropus picturatus
Target Goby

Identification: Circular patterns of green, orange and blue.

Maximum Length: 2.8"

Origin: Western Pacific

Minimum tank size: 55 Gallon

Behavior: Fish almost seems to hover around the tank. Spends most of it's time in search of tiny copepods and small crustaceans to eat. This is a very passive fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish. Mandarin gobies of the same sex will fight unless the tank is large enough for them to co-exist.  Has been reported to sometimes eat problematic flatworms

Feeding and diet: Tiny copepods and amphipods. Vitamin enriched brine shrimp, and live black worms. Will not feed on flakes or pellets.

Reef Compatibility: It MUST be kept in a well established reef aquarium with live substrate and plenty of hiding places.

Cautions: Do not try to keep in a tank less than 6 months. Must have live rock and substrate to survive.
Should not be kept with anemones, which will eat this fish.
